PSL 8 Anthem – Details Revealed

There is much anticipation around the PSL 8 anthem that was set to be released before the PSL. The PSL anthem is much awaited by the fans each year as it sets the tone for the festivity that surrounds Pakistan’s premier cricket bonanza.

Ali Sethi and PSL 8 anthem conflict of Interest

Initially Ali Sethi, the Pasoori singer, was supposed to sing the anthem. Reports are the the deal was almost finalized with Ali Sethi but the change of management in the PCB called for a reconsideration. Najam Sethi, Ali’s father, took over PCB reins from Ramiz Raja and thus in a bid to avoid conflict of interest, it was decided that Ali’s understanding with PCB would be revoked.

So, who is singing PSL 8 anthem?

The HBL Pakistan Super League 2023 anthem will be sung by Shae Gill, Asim Azhar and Faris Shafi. Abdullah Siddiqui will produce the anthem.

Shae Gill is an Pakistani female singer popular for the Pasoori song that she sang with Ali Sethi.

Asim Azhar is one of the most popular youth icon and singer. He has already been part of a PSL anthem ‘Tayyar ho’ in PSL 5.

Faris Shafi is a Pakistani rapper and actor who is the brother of Aaya Lariye singer Meesha Shafi.
