Kamran Akmal joins Peshawar Zalmi as batting consultant

Kamran Akmal, who was recently appointed chief selector for Pakistan under 19 and is also part of the notional selection committee, has joined Peshawar Zalmi as a batting consultant. Kamran has earlier represented Peshawar Zalmi in all the previous PSL seasons.

Kamran played for Peshawar Zalmi for 7 seasons, from 2016 to 2022, and amassed an impressive 1972 runs in 75 innings with a strike rate of 136.94. He achieved 3 centuries and 12 half-centuries and was one of the most feared batsmen in the PSL. His reputation in the PSL has been of an opener who could consistently deliver match-winning performances.

Kamran’s appointment is a huge boost for Peshawar Zalmi, who will be looking to build on their strong performances in the PSL over the past few years.
